EXCITING SPECIAL EVENTS

The Dan Beard Council offers several opportunities to join us at Special Events in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area throughout the year. Each of these events helps Scouting to serve on average over 20,000 youth and families in the Dan Beard Council. For details on each of these exciting events, click the icon below, or click here.

Acts of Kindness: Police go kart racing to help Scouts

2020 Popcorn Sale Scout in Mask

With popcorn, Scouts gain self-confidence, people skills, money management, salesmanship, and business ethics–things that help prepare them for life! These are great values and skills for youth to learn.

Our Scout units also have the ability to fund their entire year’s program through the popcorn sale alone. That means less fundraising, reduced costs for parents, and more time for Scouting fun! All proceeds stay right here to help support local Scouts.

FUNDRAISING AND FINANCES FOR 2021

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Council operations are completely funded by the Friends of Scouting annual giving campaign, corporate sponsorships, the popcorn sale, activity revenue, and the United Way. Funding is used primarily for program delivery in the form of camp operations, training, and support to provide many Scouting events held throughout the Council each year. Thanks to the generosity and support of the people and businesses of the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area, the Council has a fiscally sound operation that proves the Council to be good stewards of its financial resources and strong providers for the future of the Scouting movement in our area.
